This hand-painted, glazed ceramic vase dates back to the 19th century. Its style is neoclassical, as can be seen from the busts and winged figures in the ovals.
Interestingly, the decoration is in faux green and white marble. The artist was very skilled in capturing the marble's veining. Some details are in faux gilded bronze. This vase, made in the late 19th century, is intended to imitate earlier models dating back to the 18th century. There are no maker's marks. It is a very interesting object, worthy of study.
The measurements are: height: 51cm, width: 28cm, length: 20cm.
