Ancient painting, School of the 16th-17th century - Port landscape with fortifications

This is a delightful port landscape with some characters and fortifications depicted in the background. This is an oil on canvas painting that does not require restoration.

The dimensions are medium: 75.5 x 45.5 cm. The canvas was lined in the 18th or early 19th century. The work is very old, and the price at which it is being offered for sale is excellent.

The work was probably part of a pictorial cycle and among the characters depicted is Christopher Columbus before leaving for the Americas.
